According to Permendikbud No. 3 of 2020 concerning National Standards for Higher Education in lieu of Permenristekdikti No. 44 of 2015, the amount of credits for the right to study independence is three semesters consisting of: 1 semester outside the study program, in Higher Education equivalent to 20 credits and two semesters off campus equivalent to 40 credits. Kemeristekdikti has invited the Chancellors to discuss Merdeka Learning at the Independent Campus. Until now, there are still socialization activities to campuses and in various media. Apprenticeship is only one type or form of independent learning, there are still several other forms such as teaching in schools, humanitarian programs, research, and so on. Freedom means free to choose.
